An early stage social engagement program
“The urge to withdraw from social interaction can be a common response to a dementia diagnosis,” says Megeen White, Greater Maryland Chapter program manager. “However, data shows that socialization positively affects mood and wellbeing. Making pasta among friends combines conversation, tactile stimulation and the reward of eating what you make."

The Alzheimer's Association offers free virtual and in-person education programs on the stages of dementia and caregiving tips. For a list of programs and registration links, visit here.
