Gunman Shot Trying To Rob ATF Agents: Baltimore Police

BREAKING: Police said one suspect was hospitalized, one was at large after trying to hold up undercover federal agents.

BALTIMORE, MD — A shooting has been reported that involved a vehicle of federal agents in Baltimore, police said. One person was hospitalized, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Three ATF special agents had been conducting an undercover operation in a pickup truck on Baltimore Street Friday afternoon when they were approached by two gunmen, Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said.

Davis described it as an "apparent robbery attempt" since the two suspects came up to the truck with their guns visible. Inside the vehicle, Davis said the plainclothes agents discharged their service firearms at the suspects.

None of the ATF agents was injured, Special Agent in Charge Daniel Board said.
