Homeless Woman Found Deceased In Tent, Police Seek ID

BALTIMORE, MD — Authorities are asking for help identifying a homeless woman whose body was found recently in a makeshift tent off Interstate 95 in Baltimore. Police said that foul play was not suspected in her death.
Officers found the woman in a tent near the I-95 ramp at O'Donnell Street on Dec. 7, 2017, while responding to a check-on-the-welfare call. The woman had been living in the area since August 2017 but had not been seen for at least two weeks, police said.
While her identity is unknown, the woman is believed to have spoken English and Spanish and was between 40 and 60 years old, officials reported. She was described as 5-feet-3-inches tall and 90 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland Transportation Authority Police so that officials can let the woman's family know of her death; call the Maryland Transportation Authority Police Detective Unit at 410-537-6712.
