Local Physical Therapist to Present at Orlando Conference

Mark Shepherd has been invited to speak at the 2019 American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists' Annual Conference.

Physical Therapist Mark Shepherd has been invited to speak at the 2019 American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists’ Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, on Oct. 26, 2019. Shepherd practices in clinical care in Maryland, and he is the program director of the OMPT Fellowship at Bellin College, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Shepherd will deliver a presentation entitled “Sleep Quality Assessment and Intervention in OMPT.” The lecture will highlight the many ways in which sleep can impact musculoskeletal health, pain, mental health and recovery.

Shepherd earned his bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and received his doctoral degree from Sacred Heart University. Board-certified in orthopaedics and fellowship-trained in orthopaedic manual physical therapy, he holds academic appointments at the South College Physical Therapy Program, Bellin College and Rasmussen College, and he teaches for Evidence in Motion and the International Spine and Pain Institute.
