'Making The Band' Star Arrested In MD On Sex Trafficking Charge: Cops

LINTHICUM, MD — A former star of the MTV reality show "Making The Band" was arrested in Maryland recently after police accused him of sex trafficking.

Kevin "Choppa" Barnes, 37, was arrested in Linthicum on a warrant issued by the Las Vegas Police Department, Anne Arundel County police confirmed on Twitter. Barnes is accused of one count of sex trafficking an adult.

According to Las Vegas police, Barnes is accused of using his large social media following to recruit women to be sex workers.

Barnes also may have tried to recruit women in Maryland, Anne Arundel County police said.

Barnes was arrested and taken to Las Vegas, where he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, police said.
