Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Kicks Off to Get Ready for October Walk at Stadium Place Camden Yards!!

An appreciation celebration for the annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk of Baltimore took place on July 16 at Kenmar’s headquarters at 7 St. Paul Place to kick off the season leading up to the October 25 walk at Stadium Place, Lot C at Camden Yards.. The top fundraisers, ambassadors, and sponsors attended the kickoff, hearing from speakers, enjoying great food from Mr. Fries and refreshing tea from Wight Tea, networking, and brainstorming ideas to make this coming October’s walk an even bigger success than last year’s, which broke a record raising $400,000 with 365 teams and 4,000 participants.

Registration is free, but fundraising is encouraged and appreciated. Funds raised support breakthrough breast cancer research and free breast cancer patient and caregiver services, including ACS Cares, Road To Recovery that provides free rides to treatment for cancer patients, 31 ACS Hope Lodge communities nationwide and a free 24/7 cancer hotline at 1-800-227-2345.

The Making Strides walk celebrates courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrivers and remembers loved ones lost, creating a community of support and hope. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer events across the country.
