Maryland Zoo Drops Prices For Winter

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will lower prices from Dec. 1 to March 1, 2019. And Santa is visiting for the holidays.

From MD Zoo: As the weather outside turns frightful, The Maryland Zoo will remain delightful with discounted winter pricing and a special holiday-themed train ride.

From Saturday, December 1, 2018, until February 28, 2019, admission will be $12 per person, with children under two and Zoo members still free. Hours remain 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Zoo will be closed on Christmas Day.

The Zoo’s Jones Falls Zephyr transforms for the holiday season on Sunday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 16. All aboard the Polar Bear Express! Guest can ride the train with Santa at 11:30 a.m., 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 p.m. each day. Riders will learn about nature around the North Pole – such as Arctic foxes and the Zoo’s two new polar bears, Neva and Amelia Gray. In between rides, Santa and his special Zoo mascot friends will be available to hear holiday wishes and for free photos (bring your own camera!). Train tickets are $5 per rider, $4 for Zoo Members.
