This MD Restaurant Ranks Among Best In Nation On Yelp's Annual List

MARYLAND — Yelp has released its list of top restaurants across the country for the year, with one Maryland restaurant making the cut.

The list — “Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants 2026," released on Wednesday — features Asian fusion sandwich spot Ekiben from Baltimore.

“We’ve rounded up the latest drool-worthy, Yelper-loved places to eat — just in time for your 2026 restaurant bucket list,” Yelp said. “Across the US, chefs are plating up memorable, can’t-miss meals at fine-dining rooms, food halls, counter-order favorites, cozy cafes, and wallet-friendly gems that deliver big flavor without the big bill.”

To create the list, Yelp said it “identified businesses in the restaurant category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews.”

Ekiben, which has a 4.7 rating on Yelp and three locations across the city, serves up a variety of sandwiches on Taiwanese steamed buns as well as bowls and sides. Offerings include The Spicy Neighborhood Bird Bun, with curry fried chicken and Ethiopian spices, and The Ancho Chile Pork Bun.

"The famous chicken sandwich on a bao bun was otherworldly — perfectly crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, tucked inside that soft steamed bun," one Yelper wrote. "... Despite being packed on a Saturday around lunchtime, the service was incredibly friendly and helpful."
