MD Toddler Who Shot Himself With BB Gun In Critical Condition: Police

BALTIMORE, MD — A toddler was hospitalized Wednesday after Baltimore police said he shot himself with a BB gun, according to authorities.

Shortly before 7:50 p.m., officers were notified that a 3-year-old boy had shot himself with a BB gun at a home in the 1500 block of Richland Street, according to Baltimore police.

Officers responded to a nearby hospital, where they found the boy in critical condition, police said.

Authorities are working to determine how the boy obtained the BB and who was watching him at the time, police said. Child abuse detectives are also investigating, according to authorities.
