Metallica Announces Tour Dates for 2017

Baltimore is the first stop in the U.S. on Metallica's WorldWired tour, the band's first extended tour in the U.S. and Canada since 2009.

BALTIMORE, MD - Metallica will be in Baltimore on May 10 for its latest tour.

Charm City is the first stop in the U.S. on the band's WorldWired tour, which begins in Mexico on March 1. After performing in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile, the rockers will take to the stage at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

The group will be primarily appearing at baseball and football stadiums.

The WorldWired tour includes more than a dozen U.S. cities and marks the first time Metallica will be on an extended tour of the U.S. and Canada since 2009, according to a statement from the band.

The tour will end in September in Denmark, a show which has already sold out.

The announcement about the tour comes the day after the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California, where Metallica performed with Lady Gaga and according to Fox, fell "victim to multiple Grammy flubs," such as the announcer failing to name the band before it performed.

Tickets go on sale for the Baltimore show this week. Metallica will appear on Wednesday, May 10, at M&T Bank Stadium, 1101 Russell Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. Get ticket information here.
