Missing In Maryland: 10 People Have Disappeared

Five teens have been reported missing in Maryland in the past month and are still at large.

MARYLAND — Multiple people have been reported missing across Maryland in recent weeks, and we are hoping you can help bring them home. Three teens disappeared this week, and a group home also reported someone missing.

Yessica Vasquez-Romero, 14, disappeared at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18. Her family saw her walk away from her Adelphi home on Southampton Drive wearing a black jacket, black sweater, gray leggings and black tennis shoes. She is 5 feet tall and 130 pounds, with blue eyes and light-brown hair. Call the Montgomery County Police nonemergency number at 301-279-8000.

Benedict Umunakwe, 22, was last seen in Towson Monday, March 15, wearing a black sweatshirt with a gold #21 on the back. He is listed on the Towson University football roster as a linebacker whose number is 21. His blue Hyundai Sonata was seen the week he disappeared in North Carolina. Diego Walter Flores, 17, is missing from Wheaton. His family last saw him just after midnight on Sunday, March 14, at his home on Littleton Street. He may be driving a gold Honda Civic. Diego is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, jeans, and gray and white sneakers. Samanta Lopez Tapia, 15, disappeared the night of Sunday, March 14, when she walked away from her Wheaton home on Randolph Road. She is about 5 feet tall and 120 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. When her family last saw her, she was wearing black jeans and a black sweater. John Raymond Williams, 25, disappeared in Anne Arundel County around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, police reported Friday, March 19. He was last seen wearing a red jacket with black pants in the 500 block of Retreat Court in Odenton. A caregiver at a group home reported him missing Thursday, March 4, police said. Dominique Shaw, 27, has been missing from Baltimore since March 2020, police reported this week. She is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 147 pounds. Call the Northeast District’s Missing Person Unit at 410-396-2444. To remain anonymous, call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Charmaine Richardson, 65, went missing from the 2900 block of East Federal Street in Baltimore around 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 11. Police said she has early signs of dementia and is unable to speak. She was last seen wearing a black and white shorts set. Richardson is 140 pounds and 5 feet, 3 inches tall. Call the Baltimore Police Department's Missing Persons Unit at 443-984-7385.

Alvin Chambers III, 30, was last seen the morning of Saturday, March 6, leaving the waiting area at Sinai Hospital in the 2400 block of West Belvedere Avenue in Baltimore. He was wearing a gray jacket with dark pants and light hat. He is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. Call the Baltimore Police Department's Missing Person Unit at 443-984-7385.

Iyana Simmons, 17, went missing from Greenbelt around noon on Friday, March 5. She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 120 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She disappeared from the 9100 block of Edmonston Terrace. Call the Greenbelt Police Department at 301-474-7200.

Beatrice Budihardja, 17, was last seen in Germantown on Friday, Feb. 26. She was wearing a black Helly Hansen jacket with pajama pants that had a reindeer print. Beatrice has black hair and brown eyes, and she is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 120 pounds.
