Students were dismissed ahead of schedule at multiple Baltimore City Public Schools due to the heat and a power outage, officials said.
BALTIMORE, MD — Four schools dismissed at noon on Thursday in Baltimore City. Baltimore City Public Schools made the announcement midday on Thursday, May 30.
One early dismissal was due to a power outage, while three were attributed to excessive heat.

- Guilford Elementary/Middle School (power outage)
- Curtis Bay Elementary/Middle School (excessive heat throughout the building)
- Patterson High School (excessive heat throughout the building)
- Windsor Hills Elementary/Middle School (excessive heat throughout the building)
Temperatures are in the 80s and will reach 90 on the heat index by 3 p.m., according to the forecast for Baltimore from the National Weather Service.
