Officer At Shock Trauma After Fall During Chase: Police
Baltimore Police said the officer was listed in serious condition.

BALTIMORE, MD — Authorities said a policeman was taken to shock trauma Wednesday night after falling during a narcotics-related foot chase in west Baltimore.
The officer was conducting covert surveillance near Monroe Street at Edmondson Avenue around 7:20 p.m. when he called for backup and tried to stop a suspected narcotics dealer, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
The suspect ran and the officer, in the midst of the chase, fell and hit his head, police said. Unconscious, he was taken to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, according to officials.

The officer was listed in serious but stable condition, police reported Wednesday night.
