Peabody Library Listed Among 20 Most Beautiful Libraries In US
A Baltimore establishment has been named among "20 Most Beautiful Libraries" in the nation.

BALTIMORE, MD — In the world of libraries, Baltimore has a real gem. Peabody made the list of the "20 Most Beautiful Libraries in the U.S." compiled by Curbed.
The George Peabody Library has been described as a "cathedral of books," according to Curbed, which put the spotlight on the library's atrium surrounded by cast-iron balconies. It has five tiers filled with books about art, architecture and history, among other topics, totaling 300,000 volumes.
People are welcome to read and research there, but none of the items in the collection may be checked out.
