Person Dies At BWI Airport Amid Thanksgiving Travel

One person died at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport on Wednesday, Nov. 21, according to reports.

A man reportedly died at BWI Airport on Wednesday, Nov. 21. The death occurred around 7:30 p.m. the day before Thanksgiving, according to multiple media outlets.

Maryland Transportation Authority Police said that one person died on the upper level of the airport in what was deemed an isolated incident, WBAL reported.

The upper level is where the ticket counters, security gates and terminals are located at the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

ABC 7 reported the death was a suicide that occurred between the ticket counters for American and Jet Blue.

Police told The Baltimore Sun that the death was a medical emergency.

Afterward, BWI reported conditions were normal at the airport with no significant delays.
