Point Breeze's Golf Tournament Raised $20K for the Md. Food Bank
Local Credit Union's Golf Tournament Donation Provides 60,000 Meals to Marylanders in Need

HUNT VALLEY, Md. – November 1, 2018 – Point Breeze Credit Union raised $20,000 through its golf tournament, “The Harvest,” to benefit the Maryland Food Bank and its efforts to reduce hunger statewide.
According to the Maryland Food Bank, Marylanders miss over 100 million meals each year. The holiday season is one of the busiest and most challenging times of year to meet the needs of Marylanders impacted by food insecurity.
The donation from Point Breeze Credit Union will help meet the immediate needs of Marylanders by providing an additional 60,000 meals to communities in need this holiday season.

“We can’t thank Point Breeze Credit Union enough for not only hosting an outstanding event, but capping it off with such a generous donation,” said Carmen Del Guercio, President & CEO of the Maryland Food Bank. “Because of their efforts, we’ll be able to distribute enough food to provide an additional 60,000 meals to people in need across the state. We truly appreciate all of their hard work.”

“The Harvest” was held Oct. 22 at Hayfields Country Club, where over 100 golfers were in attendance. Hayfields is one of the region’s premiere championship golf courses, stretching more than 7,000 yards in picturesque Northern Baltimore County.
