This Restaurant Named 'Most Iconic Diner' In MD By Business Insider

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore restaurant was included among Business Insider's recent list of the most iconic diners in each state.

According to The Most Iconic Diner In Every State, chrome stools and menus filled with classic comfort foods have made diners quintessentially American.

"From decades-old landmarks...to no-frills lunch counters that have quietly become cultural icons in their respective towns, these are the most iconic diners in every state," according to Business Insider.

For Maryland, the list names the Papermoon Diner in Baltimore as the state's most iconic eatery.

Business Insider notes the Papermoon Diner "stands out for its whimsical, art-filled interior and eclectic decor."

"The Baltimore landmark pairs classic diner dishes it calls 'bold comfort food' with a colorful, surreal atmosphere that has made it one of the city's most distinctive restaurants," Business Insider wrote.

Established in 1994, Papermoon Diner has become a beloved fixture in Baltimore’s dining scene, according to its website.

Located in the Remington neighborhood, near Johns Hopkins University and the Baltimore Museum of Art, Papermoon Diner's menu offers a creative twist on classic comfort food. Hungry customers can satisfy their cravings with a variety of options, including shrimp and grits, pancake stacks, and cereal milkshakes.

The eatery is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Fridays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
