Royal Farms Has Best Gas Station Food In U.S.: 'Food & Wine'

BALTIMORE, MD - Royal Farms has gained national fanfare for its fried chicken. "Food & Wine" magazine says the Baltimore-headquartered chain has the best gas station food in America, in a newly released list.

In particular, the fried chicken, western fries and dinner rolls earned accolades from the magazine, which caters to readers with discerning palates.

Royal Farms - located in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania - was one of a few companies on the Eastern Seaboard to make the "Food & Wine" list. Others include a tapas restaurant in Miami and an Indian joint in Pennsylvania.
