SECU & the Balt. Orioles Host Children Treated at Kennedy Krieger

Families attend Orioles games as part of SECU's 'K's for Kids'

SECU, Maryland’s largest credit union, has partnered with the Baltimore Orioles to host K’s for Kids VIP days at Camden Yards for children treated at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

The collaboration is part of SECU’s ‘K’s for Kids’ sponsorship with the Orioles. Throughout the 2019 season, each time an Orioles’ pitcher throws a strikeout at Camden Yards, SECU donates $50 to Kennedy Krieger. As of July 10, the Orioles have thrown 317 strikeouts and SECU has donated $15,850.

SECU and the Orioles will host three K’s for Kids VIP Days this season, to be held July 17th, August 9th and August 19th. Kennedy Krieger patients and athletes – Olive Weidenhammer, Willow Weidenhammer, Nasir Lay, and Elijah Yanike, and their families – will receive tickets to an Orioles home game in the corporate sponsorship box and meet with Orioles’ athletes during batting practice. Orioles’ players will also visit Kennedy Krieger to lift the spirits of young patients early this fall.
