SECU Donates $31,400 to Kennedy Krieger

'K's for Kids' donation follows $31,400 Orioles' strikeouts at home

SECU, Maryland’s largest credit union, has donated $31,400 to benefit children and young adults at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

The donation is part of SECU’s ‘K’s for Kids’ sponsorship with the Baltimore Orioles. Each time an Orioles’ pitcher threw a strikeout at Camden Yards, SECU donated $50 to Kennedy Krieger. Throughout the 2019 season, the Orioles threw 628 strikeouts at home.

In addition to donating funds, SECU and the Orioles hosted ‘K’s for Kids’ VIP Days this season, inviting Kennedy Krieger patients and their families to attend Orioles batting practice, meet players and enjoy a game in the corporate sponsorship suite. Most recently through the sponsorship, the Oriole Bird made a special visit to Kennedy Krieger to lift the spirits of young patients.
