BREAKING: Marilyn Mosby reportedly secured her spot as Baltimore's top prosecutor.

BALTIMORE, MD — State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby will remain in office for another four years after reportedly beating two challengers in Tuesday's primary election. The Associated Press reported she beat out Ivan Bates and Thiru Vignarajah.
There were no Republican challengers, meaning Mosby has secured her spot as the city's top prosecutor for another term.
"This campaign was never about me, it was always about us," Mosby said in her victory speech.

Thanking God, her family, the community and her colleagues, Mosby acknowledged the city has faced challenges during her time in office.
She gained national attention for bringing charges against six Baltimore police officers in connection with the death of Freddie Gray in police custody in 2015. After his death, riots erupted in parts of the city and while Mosby vowed to bring justice, none of the charges resulted in a conviction. Recently, she has come under fire due to violent crimes committed by repeat offenders, many of whom are juveniles, in Baltimore.
