Suspect Arrested In Shaking Death Of 7-Month-Old: Police
Baltimore Police arrested a suspect in connection with the Christmas morning death of 7-month-old Harlem Phillips.

BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore City police have arrested a suspect in connection with the Christmas morning death of a 7-month-old Harlem Phillips. According to police, Herbert Leon Miller, 24, is in custody after medical examiners determined the infant died of injuries consistent with being shaken.
The baby was taken to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics the night of Dec. 22 after reportedly falling off a sofa in the 2400 block of Louise Avenue. When he arrived at the hospital, he was unconscious and unresponsive.
Police started an investigation into the incident, and were informed by doctors the baby's injuries were consistent with those of babies who were shaken.

On Christmas morning, the child was pronounced dead just after 8:30 a.m. Medical examiners ruled he died as a result of blunt force trauma.
Miller was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first- and second-degree child abuse and first- and second-degree assault.
