Overturned Tractor-Trailer Cleared From I-895

Interstate 895 was temporarily closed to northbound traffic in the area, officials advised.

BALTIMORE, MD — A tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 895 near Baltimore on Monday afternoon, officials said, spilling its load. As a result, detours were in place while authorities cleaned up the highway.

By 4 p.m., officials said the road had reopened, and the crash had cleared.

Previously, all lanes of I-895 north were blocked past the exit for US 40/Pulaski Highway, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported at 2:15 p.m. The crash happened before 1:30 p.m.

Traffic was detoured from northbound I-895, officials said, advising drivers to anticipate delays as well as an extended closure because of the cleanup required; I-95 is the alternate route.
