USA Today's Best Holiday Parades List Includes Baltimore

Is the Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade in Baltimore the best? Vote until Dec. 4.

BALTIMORE, MD — The Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade in Baltimore has been nominated as one of USA Today's Best Holiday Parades. The competition aims to rank the 20 best parades in the country.

Baltimore is up against the Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade in Annapolis and contenders from the McDonald's Christmas Parade in Chicago to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.

For the last 44 years, business associations in Baltimore's Hampden and Medfield neighborhoods have sponsored the annual Mayor's Christmas Parade. The procession along a 2.5-mile parade route includes floats, local TV personalities, a steam calliope, marching bands, Santa and more than 100 Harley Davidson motorcycles.

People can vote here daily through noon on Dec. 4 to help Baltimore win.

The Mayor's Christmas Parade in Baltimore ranked No. 17 out of 20 as of Tuesday, Nov. 7.
