Vehicles for Change Announces LKQ Corporation Partnership
Organization to save thousands on auto parts and help more families in need

LKQ Corporation’s district manager, Matt Caddy and Baltimore general manager, Marcel Heuver, visited Vehicles for Change in December 2019 to tour its facilities and begin the partnership conversation
Vehicles for Change, the Baltimore-based nonprofit that empowers families and individuals with financial challenges to achieve economic and personal independence through car ownership and technical training, proudly announces a new partnership with LKQ Corporation, a leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles.
Vehicles for Change’s business revolves around vehicles. The nonprofit accepts donated cars, refurbishes them and awards them to low-income families and individuals throughout Maryland, Virginia and Detroit, Michigan. Additionally, Vehicles for Change operates its Full Circle Auto Repair & Training Centers. This program trains formerly incarcerated men and women to be auto mechanics, and the Full Circle garages are fully-functioning auto repair shops open to the public – and offer maintenance and repairs at a discount for community members. The organization has helped thousands of families since its inception in 1999.

“Through our various programs and garages, we spend more than $300,000 annually in auto parts to ensure our vehicle recipients get out on the road in safe, reliable vehicles,” says Martin Schwartz, president of Vehicles for Change. “This new partnership with LKQ will help us fulfill our mission at a significantly discounted rate, which frees up funding for us to do more for those in our community.”
