BREAKING: Baltimore City Public Schools has announced a change in schedule for Tuesday, Jan. 29.

BALTIMORE, MD — Public schools in Baltimore City will close two hours early on Tuesday, Jan. 29. School officials made the announcement after 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
After-school and evening activities at Baltimore City Public Schools are canceled Tuesday, according to the announcement.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Baltimore from noon to 10 p.m. on Tuesday calling for about 1 inch of snow.

Rain will mix with snow and change to all snow during the advisory period. Temperatures will also drop.
Drivers should anticipate slippery roads and limited visibility, according to the advisory.

The State Highway Administration urges drivers to stay off the roads if possible Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.
