Winning Lottery Scratch Ticket Worth $500K Sold In Baltimore

The top prize from the $500,000 Crossword scratch-off ticket was claimed last week after the ticket was purchased at a liquor store.

BALTIMORE, MD — Someone is $500,000 richer after claiming a winning Maryland Lottery scratch-off ticket purchased at a Baltimore liquor store last week.

The winning $500,000 Crossword scratch-off ticket worth the contest's top prize was sold at Hub Wine & Spirits, 4332 Erdman Ave. in Baltimore, according to the Maryland Lottery's website. It was the biggest prize claimed during the week of March 21-27, lottery officials said.

The Maryland lottery did not release the name of the winner.

Other top prizes claimed last week include $50,000 on Diamond Mine X9 tickets sold in Churchton and McCoole, Holiday Riches in Baltimore, and MONOPOLY X20 in Prince Frederick.

The Maryland Lottery encourages players to check their tickets by scanning them at any Lottery retailer or by using the Lottery’s mobile apps. Draw game winners have 182 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prizes, and scratch-off winners have 182 days from the announced end-of-game date.
