Woman Charged With Shooting Teenage Girl In The Legs

Ashley Walton, 36, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and is currently in jail awaiting a bail hearing.

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore woman is facing attempted murder charges after she shot a 17-year-old girl in the legs Monday night. Ashley Walton, 36, was arrested and taken to Central Booking where she is currently awaiting her bail hearing.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 3300 block of Round Road. Following an altercation between several women, Walton allegedly shot the girl in the lower legs. The girl was taken to an area hospital, where she is currently listed in good condition, according to Baltimore police.

Walton was arrested at the scene. Following questioning by law enforcement, she was taken to Central Booking, where she was charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder and reckless endangerment.
