Woman Guilty In 2018 Murder, Kidnapping Of Tiffany Jones
Bobie Barncord was accused of pouring lighter fluid on Jones before someone set her on fire and stabbed her, prosecutors said.
BALTIMORE, MD — A woman accused of kidnapping, burning, and fatally stabbing Tiffany Jones in 2018 was found guilty of her murder by a Baltimore jury Wednesday, according to prosecutors.
Bobie Barncord was convicted of first-degree murder, conspiracy to kidnap, and arson in connection with Jones' death, Baltimore City State's Attorney Ivan Bates said in a release. According to authorities, Barncord participated in Jones' murder because she believed Jones stole her cell phone.
Barncord's co-defendant, Willard Turner, was convicted of killing Jones in February 2020. Authorities said he is currently serving a prison sentence of life plus 80 years.

"This is a heinous case that shows just how long the road to justice can be," Bates said in a statement. "The depravity of this defendant's actions can never be undone, but we can ensure that she never has the opportunity to do this to someone again."
According to authorities, Jones was kidnapped at knifepoint by Turner in August 2018. Officers later learned the car used to take Jones was driven by Barncord and owned by her father.
