1 Hospitalized From BB&T Bank Call: Bel Air Police

Officers were called for a report of a shooting in Bel Air and found something else.

BEL AIR, MD — An intoxicated person led to a mistaken report of a shooting at BB&T Bank in Bel Air on Wednesday morning, according to police. One person has been hospitalized in connection with the incident, the Bel Air Police Department reported Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to the bank in the 400 block of Baltimore Pike at 10:40 a.m. for a report of a shooting and found instead that there was an intoxicated person who had a small amount of blood under her nose, officials said. The person was behind the BB&T Bank branch.

Police said that the person was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center due to her level of intoxication.
