1 Killed, 1 Wounded In Friday Night Shooting

A 20-year-old man has died after police say he was shot in the chest. A 22-year-old man was injured. Police say the shootings are connected.

EDGEWOOD, MD — One man has died and another was wounded in a shooting that happened late Friday night in Edgewood.

The shooting happened April 3 around 11:15 p.m. Harford County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the area of Grempler Way and Brookside Drive in Edgewood for a report of a shooting.

Deputies arrived in the area in less than a minute and found a 22-year-old man conscious and breathing with an apparent gunshot wound to his shoulder and neck area. Deputies immediately rendered medical aid and stabilized the victim. He then was taken by ambulance to a Baltimore area trauma center, according to the sheriff's office.

At the same time, sheriff's deputies learned about a second victim who was laying in the road in the 1900 block of Eloise Lane. They arrived and found a 20-year-old man unconscious and not breathing with a gunshot wound to the chest. Deputies performed first aid until EMTs arrived and took over. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office. He was identified as Bryan H. Burrows, Jr., of Edgewood.

According to the sheriff's office, both men knew each other and the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.

Detectives with the HCSO Criminal Investigations Division and investigators from the forensic services unit are investigating.
