13 Hospitalized from Crash on I-95 in Harford County, Officials Say

There were three vehicles involved in a crash that snarled southbound traffic on Interstate 95 Sunday night.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — More than a dozen people were hospitalized following a crash on Interstate 95 in Harford County Sunday night that officials said caused delays for approximately two hours.

There were 13 people taken to area hospitals from the collision on I-95 south past the MD 543 interchange, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. All of their injuries were minor, Gardiner said.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to transportation officials.

As of 8:45 p.m., the two left lanes and left shoulder remained closed on I-95 south near mile marker 79.9.

By 8:55 p.m., only the left lane was blocked, the Maryland Transportation Authority advised, noting that emergency personnel remained at the scene.

At 9:20 p.m., transportation authorities reported the crash had cleared.
