18-Year-Old Shot At Stoplight In Joppa: Harford County Police
An 18-year-old was shot sitting in his vehicle at a stoplight, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — An 18-year-old from Edgewood was shot while sitting in a car at a stoplight at southbound I-95 to Maryland Route 152 in Joppa.
The shooting happened at about 11:30 p.m. Sept. 9. Deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting. While responding to that call, officers learned of a young man who walked into the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for treatment.
Deputies responded to the area of the reported shooting and secured the scene. Additional deputies responded to the hospital to make contact with the shooting victim, identified as Kenneth Chibuzo Ejelonu, who had non-fatal gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division determined that someone pulled up in another vehicle and opened fire on Ejelonu's vehicle, hitting it several times before driving off.
