1st Place Finish Nabbed By Joppatowne Students In Fall Stock Market Game
A team of 5th graders from Joppatowne Elementary placed first in the fall Stock Market Game.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A team of fifth graders from Joppatowne Elementary School took first place at the regional level for elementary schools at the fall Stock Market Game.
The Maryland Council on Economic Education organizes the competition every year. The Stock Market Game serves as a hands-on learning tool to help students build a fundamental understanding of investing while providing them with real world skills in math.
The winning team of students include Corrine DuVal, Emily Friskey, Marco Manzotti, Vivienne Nave, Vincent Peterson and Harlan Wilson. The leaders from Joppatowne Elementary include Principal Jessica Hichkad, Assistant Principal James Kane and Gifted and Talented Specialist Kathleen Thompson
