2.5-Mile Backup Clears After Crash On I-95 In Harford County

A stretch of Interstate 95 in Harford County was congested Friday morning due to crash activity.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A crash on Interstate 95 south caused major backups Friday morning near the exit for MD 24. Officials said after 8:50 a.m. that backups were approximately 2.5 miles long.

The collision happened on I-95 south in the area of mile marker 75.9, north of the Mountain Road exit. Traffic cameras showed emergency personnel responding to the crash south of MD 24.

Two left lanes were blocked, and there were 2.5-mile backups before 9 a.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

By 9:30 a.m., officials said the crash had cleared and all lanes were open.
