2 Bel Air Contenders For State Restaurant Awards

BEL AIR, MD – Two Bel Air eateries are up for awards from a restaurant trade association that recognizes the best of the industry across the state. The Restaurant Association of Maryland's Stars of the Industry Awards is an annual program in which the public is invited to vote online. Vote at the bottom of the article until March 28.

Bel Air has contenders for the "Chef of the Year" and "Favorite Bar or Tavern" titles.

Without further ado, here are the nominees from Bel Air.

Chef Jon Kohler of Pairings Bistro is up for Chef of the Year.

These are the nominees for Maryland's Chef of the Year for 2018:

• George Batlas - The Manor Tavern
• Rashad Edwards - George Martin Group
• Jon Kohler - Pairings Bistro
• Enzo Livia - Il Pizzico
• Julian Marucci - Tagliata

In addition, Looney's Pub is a contender in the favorite bar or tavern category.

These are the nominees for Maryland's favorite bar or tavern:

• Hanover Dock Street Bar & Grill - Annapolis
• The Horse You Came In On - Baltimore
• Looney's Pub - Bel Air
• Upper Deck Sports Bar and Grill - Mt. Airy

Vote online until 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28.

Winners will be announced May 6 at the Restaurant Association of Maryland's Stars of the Industry Awards Gala in Ocean City.
