2 Horses Killed, $2K Reward Offered: Harford Sheriff
Investigators are reportedly looking at someone close to a Monkton farm in connection with the death of a show pony and retired racehorse.

MONKTON, MD — Authorities are offering a $2,000 reward for information about the death of two horses recently in Monkton. One was a retired racehorse and the other was a show pony.
Investigators said the two horses were shot on a farm in the 4100 block of Old York Road between 11:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, and midnight Friday, Sept. 25.
Their owner, a woman who was keeping them in her boyfriend's pasture while hers was undergoing maintenance, went to feed them at the farm that morning and found one dead and another who died trying to get up when he saw her, according to The Aegis.
