2 Hospitalized From Baltimore Pike Crash: Bel Air VFC

First responders had to remove two car doors in the rescue operation, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported.

BEL AIR, MD — Two people were hospitalized after a crash on Baltimore Pike in Bel Air Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

One person had to be rescued from the wreck, which happened at 3:45 p.m. on Baltimore Pike at Atwood Road, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

Crews had to remove two passenger-side doors to free one of the victims, according to Rich Gardiner of the fire company.

One person was taken to a regional trauma center with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Gardiner said, and another was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
