$2M Lotto Win For Bel Air Restauranteur Who Lost Business During Pandemic
A Bel Air man who lost his restaurant recently won $2 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket. He hopes to reopen his business.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A Bel Air resident who popped by the Wawa at 709 Bel Air Road for gas ended up buying a $30 scratch-off lottery ticket that won him $2 million.
“I buy a ticket every once in a while,” he told the Maryland Lottery. “It’s never a planned thing, usually it’s just when I see a sign or notice the machine.”
After scratching off the instant ticket he picked from a recently repaired machine, the lucky player was stunned.

The winner is thinking about using the prize to open a new restaurant in the future and bringing back employees who lost jobs when he went out of business.
