4 Easter Egg Hunts Around Bel Air
These Easter egg hunts will be held at Christ Our King, Rockfield Park, St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Joppatowne Community Church.
BEL AIR, MD — Easter is relatively late this year, falling on Sunday, April 21. Last year it was on April 11. The year before that, it came on April 16.
Before the holiday, there are a handful of Easter egg hunts in and around Bel Air.
Three are free. One is $5, and all proceeds go to the family of a 7-year-old boy killed in a crash on MD 24.

The Rockfield Manor Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Rockfield Park, 501 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. Cost is $5 per family. All proceeds will be donated to the family of Tripp Johnson, who was killed in a March 7 crash. The event is hosted by the Rockfield Manor Foundation.
The Christ Our King Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christ Our King Presbyterian Church at 10 Lexington Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. There will be three areas for egg hunts: one for preschool, another younger elementary school age children and a third area for older elementary school children. The search for the eggs starts at 10 sharp.

The 8th annual Easter Egg Hunt and Family Fun Event will be on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. If there is bad weather, it will be held inside. Admission is free. Bring your own Easter basket. The event features Easter egg hunts by age group, bounce houses, face painting, Journey to the Cross, pony rides, train garden, food, concessions and a petting zoo.

The Joppatowne Community Church Easter Egg Hunt was on Sunday, April 14, at Joppatowne Christian Church at 725 Trimble Road, Joppa, MD 21085. This event is free. Different age groups have their own hunts, beginning around 12:20 p.m. and concluding with an adult scavenger hunt around 2 p.m. All are welcome to participate. There will be free food and games with prizes. Registration is at noon. Times are approximate:
- Ages 0-5 at 12:20 p.m
- Grades K-5 at 12:40 p.m.
- Grades 6-8 at 1:10 p.m.
- Grades 9-12 at 1:30 p.m.
