4 Hospitalized In Abingdon Crash: Officials
The crash on Route 7 at Abingdon Road injured and trapped several people, according to the Abingdon Fire Company.

ABINGDON, MD — Four people were hospitalized as the result of a crash in Abingdon Friday night, officials said. Abingdon and Joppa medics responded to the crash, which occurred at the intersection of MD 7/Philadelphia Road at Abingdon Road at 7:31 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.
Multiple people were trapped in the collision, which involved two vehicles, according to the Abingdon Fire Company. The victims were rescued soon after crews arrived, fire officials said.
Three people were taken to a regional trauma center, while one was taken to a local hospital, officials reported.

About an hour later, the Abingdon Fire Company was called to another crash, about 2 miles away in the Riverside area. That collision required a medevac and resulted in more serious injuries.
