$4M Repaving Project Will Cause Lane Closures On MD 24 In Harford County
A $4 million repaving project on MD 24 in Harford County will lead to lane closures starting Sunday.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A $4 million project to improve the pavement on MD 24 (Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway) between MD 924 (Tollgate Road/Emmorton Road) and MacPhail Road near Bel Air will start Sunday. The paving project should be done by late fall, weather permitting.
Crews will work overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings to mill, resurface and restripe MD 24. Drivers should expect single-lane closures during work hours.
Starting Oct. 1, the Move Over Law in Maryland will require drivers to make a lane change or slow down when approaching any stopped, standing or parked vehicle displaying hazard warning lights, road flares or other caution signals.
