5-Figure Lottery Wins Reported In Bel Air And Abingdon

Abingdon and Bel Air residents purchased five-figure winning tickets recently, Maryland Lottery officials reported.

BEL AIR, MD — Two Bel Air area residents claimed five-figure prizes recently from the Maryland Lottery, officials reported this week. Together, their winnings total $60,000.

An Abingdon man is $50,000 richer after buying a winning lotto ticket, according to Maryland Lottery officials.

The 48-year-old won the Bonus Match 5 game on Saturday, Oct. 27.

To win the game, he played nine boards with his own numbers, authorities said; that costs $6.

He purchased the top-prize winning ticket at the BP in Canton in Baltimore, officials said.

He was not the only one in Harford County celebrating his recent luck with the Maryland Lottery.

A 39-year-old Bel Air resident won a $10,000 prize after buying a lotto ticket at J&K Tobacco in Essex.

The Bel Air player won through the Diamond 10s, according to officials, which is a $10 scratch-off game.
