9/11 Remembrance Event In Harford Features Survivor Of Attacks

The Darlington Volunteer Fire Company will mark the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks with a special remembrance ceremony.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A survivor from the World Trade Center attack will be part of the 9/11 remembrance in Dublin this year.

The Darlington Volunteer Fire Company is hosting a 20th anniversary remembrance ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 11.

An FBI agent who responded to the Pentagon that day in 2001 will also be at the event, as well as a bagpipe player and trumpeter, organizers say.

At the end of the ceremony, attendees will be able to light candles in a show of peace.

The 20th anniversary 9/11 remembrance event is billed as family friendly. It will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company's Dublin Station, 1520 Whiteford Rd., Street. People can park at Dublin Elementary School, 1527 Whiteford Rd., Street.
