On Wednesday morning, students had a brief school day at Abingdon Elementary.
The school closed at 9:30 a.m. due to a mechanical failure, according to Harford County Public Schools.
The mechanical failure affected the heating system, the school system reported.
Abingdon Elementary also closed early on Jan. 6—at 1:30 p.m. that day—because the school was without heat.
