Walker and six other men allegedly responded to an ad that police had placed on Backpage.com, a website often used in the sex business. Police said the men called the phone number from the ad, spoke with an undercover female officer and asked for a meeting place. When the men showed up on Monday to an undisclosed hotel in Howard County, authorities said they placed the following individuals under arrest for solicitation of prostitution and disorderly conduct:

  • Jeffrey Jomo Walker, 49, of Abingdon
  • (name removed)
  • Quintyn Anthony Fraser, 26, of Capito Heights
  • Guillermo Alejandro Saenz Moreno, 20, of Laurel
  • Wesley Karl Watkins, 30, of Severn
  • Sherman Marelle Wilkes, 38, of Owings Mills
  • Brandon Michael Williams, 21, of Laurel

This operation is part of Howard County’s ongoing effort to combat human trafficking. The Howard County Police Department regularly posts ads on Backpage alerting potential clients and victims that officers are watching and offering resources for support.
