- Three counts of first-degree murder
- Two counts of attempted first-degree murder
- Using a firearm in a felony crime
- Illegal possession of a regulated firearm
Prosecutors are seeking life in prison without the possibility of parole, according to court records, which also show that there was a request to change the venue for the trial.
The case gained national attention as authorities conducted a manhunt across state lines to locate Prince.
At Advanced Granite Solutions in the Emmorton Business Park, Prince is accused of opening fire on his coworkers at 8:58 a.m. on Oct. 18, 2017.
Prince, of the 100 block of Clinton Street in Elkton, reportedly then drove a black SUV from Maryland to Delaware.
At 10:46 a.m., police said he shot someone he knew at a car dealership in Wilmington, Delaware, which led to the charges in that state.
Prince was apprehended in Delaware following a manhunt that lasted hours; he was taken into custody by federal agents and local officers at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2017, nearly 11 hours after the Edgewood shootings.
Prince was found guilty of attempted manslaughter in May 2018 by a Delaware jury.
A judge sentenced Prince to 40 years in prison in Delaware, where the Elkton man testified at trial that he went to the Wilmington business intending to speak with, not kill, the victim, The News Journal reported.
He shot the man in the face, according to the newspaper, which said jurors were also shown video of Prince gathering his Maryland coworkers in a circle and firing a black handgun at them.
