AleCraft of Bel Air Moves to Bigger Venue
The home brewing supplier is now open in new location.
The founders of AleCraft Brewing Supply in Bel Air set out to create a space for the homebrewing enthusiast community. Now the community has more room to grow, since the store has moved to 140 Bond Street.
The shop for those looking to make their own beer, wine and mead opened in 2013 and was based on Office Street, where it shuttered this week to transition to its new digs on Bond.
AleCraft is now located next to the Bel Air Bakery—“mmm beer and donuts,” AleCraft posted on its Facebook page in an announcement about the move.

Among its many offerings for those looking to make their own drinks, the store sells fermentation supplies; bottling, kegging and barreling equipment; and hops.
Indoor brewing classes are also on tap at the new, larger space.

The demand for craft beer is growing in Maryland, which was home to 34 craft breweries in 2013, up from 25 in 2011, The Baltimore Sun reported.
AleCraft owners Brad and Eryn Streett have their own opinions as to why home brewing is gaining traction. He says it’s more cost effective to make your own as the price of craft beer rises, while she attributes it to the trend of consumers making their own products, from food to soap, according to The Aegis.
