Annual Christmas Parade Organizers Seeking Entrants For Holiday Event

BEL AIR, MD — It may still be hot out, but now is the time to enter a float or a group to walk in the 32nd Annual Bel Air Christmas Parade Dec. 4.

Applications are open now on the city's website through Nov. 28 to be in the parade.

Prizes will be awarded for different parade categories. Only bands, performers, musicians, special guests and costumed characters will be allowed to walk.

Campaign signs, electioneering and campaigning will not be allowed.

The parade will head down Main Street then Lee Street to Shamrock Park at 3:30 p.m. Once there, Santa will arrive, there will be a festival bonfire, a concert and a sing-along with hot chocolate and cookies at 4 p.m. in the park.

The annual tree lighting will take place at 4:45 p.m.
