Armed Man Arrested After Trying To Flee Domestic Dispute
An armed man who barricaded himself and his victim in an Aberdeen home then tried to flee has been arrested, police say.
ABERDEEN, MD — A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a domestic dispute that happened Tuesday afternoon.
The Aberdeen Police Department was called to a home in the unit block of Green Avenue around 3:41 p.m. They found William Utter Jr., at the scene, armed and alleged to have pointed a gun at the victim, made violent threats then barricaded himself inside the home.
Police officers notified the surrounding community and a nearby school as a precaution. Additional law enforcement was called in to help ensure the public's safety, the police department stated.

At approximately 4:55 p.m., Utter Jr. attempted to flee the area but was immediately apprehended outside the home. Utter Jr. was taken to the Harford County Detention Center where he was charged with assault 1st degree, violation of a protective order, firearm use and other related charges to the incident. Utter Jr. is being held without bond.
